“There’s a connection you feel with everyone else at the match that can’t quite be recreated away from Goodison.”

Chris is an amateur photographer, who has curated "Goodbye to Goodison".
His images capture people’s everyday stories, with a storytelling element that mirrors his work in the museums.
Although his dad took him to his first game, Chris’ love for the Blues came from his Mum. Her parents owned a sweet shop on County Road, so from her side of the family, it was only ever going to be The Toffees.

“If there was a feeling I could bottle, it would be that first experience of Goodison as a kid. I try to put that into my photos and try to see the vividity of the old ground through my camera.”
