“Goodison Park has been a constant…a place where I’ve experienced joy, heartbreak, and unforgettable moments. But more than anything, it’s where I’ve built a deep bond with my son.”
Although from Manchester, a neighbour’s gift of an Everton shirt led to James becoming a Blue.
The son of a Liverpool-supporting mother from Huyton, he says that at 7 years old he knew he was ‘Chosen’ to be a Blue.
James, a teacher with a master's degree in photography, had a special first game experience. Through his portraits of fans, he now likes to collect their first game memories.
“That feeling was cemented on May 7, 1994, when I finally attended my first game at Goodison…The emotions that day — despair at halftime, sheer elation at full-time — made my love for Everton unbreakable.”
